Self-Guided Bicycle Tours & Active Vacations

For those who prefer a more independent mode of bicycling vacation, several of our tours can now be experienced with a more modest level of support. We will arrange for your lodging and luggage transfers, and provide you with detailed route directions and maps. Bicycles and related equipment can also be provided.

Our trips which work well for self-guided itineraries are those in Vermont, Maine, California, Martha’s Vineyard & Nantucket, and the Vermont to Quebec City trip. A newly married couple recently spent their honeymoon cycling through the Champlain Valley of Vermont with "Just Married” signs on the backs of their bikes. They received warm receptions and cheers from friendly locals all along their route - perhaps because of the wide grins on their faces!
